Daingerfield plans Meet the Teacher

With less than a month before school begins again, area schools are planning meet the teacher nights and preparing for their back to school schedules.

Daingerfield-Lone Star ISD has scheduled their Meet the Teacher night for Thursday, Aug. 18. Times will vary by campus. West Elementary will hold theirs from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., while South Elementary Students will be able to meet their teachers from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Junior High sixth graders will meet their teachers from 5 p.m. until 6:30 p.m., also on Aug. 18. Seventh and eighth graders will have a meet the teacher night on Sept. 16, from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. (Three week progress reports will be passed out at this time.) Daingerfield High School’s Meet the Teacher will be from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on Aug. 18. All meet the teacher activities will be held on the respective campuses.

Other back to school activities for Daingerfield are as follows:

West and South Elementary schools will have new student enrollment beginning August 8 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. New students to Daingerfield Junior High may register at Daingerfield High School from Aug. 8 to Aug. 12 during regular office hours, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. New high school students may register at the same time, and must be prepared to provide proof of residency prior to registration.

Sixth grade students at Daingerfield Junior High will be able to pick up their schedules on Aug. 18, at Meet the Teacher. Seventh and eighth grade students may pick up their schedules on Aug. 18, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Junior High Office. High school schedules will be mailed on Aug. 10. For schedule changes, students may call 903-645- 3968 or come by the High School office the week of Aug. 15 through 19.
