August 6 Meet & Greet, Town Hall Meeting

The Full Gospel Outreach Project (FGOP) and Sheriff Jack Martin will hold a Meet & Greet and Town Hall Meeting on Saturday, Aug. 6, from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at the Daingerfield High School Cafeteria; 202 Tiger Drive, Daingerfield. Join local law enforcement; community leaders and members; and local pastors for a Meet & Greet and Town Hall Meeting, which offers opportunities for engaging, open dialogue on interacting with law enforcement. Members of the Northeast Texas communities will have an opportunity to gain information and exchange dialogue about fostering positive interactions between our communities and law enforcement. August 6 Burrow Reunion

August 6 Anniversary Banquet

Shady Grove Baptist Church will be sponsoring a 10 year Anniversary Banquet for Bishop Jessie, Sr. and Frankie Biles on Saturday, Aug. 6, at 6:00 p.m. The banquet will be held at the Daingerfield Annex Building, and is a black and white attire affair. August 6 Bingo

The Daingerfield Senior Citizen’s will play Bingo from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. at the Senior Citizens Center, located in Daingerfield. Everyone is invited to attend.

August 8 Mustang Season Football Tickets

Hughes Springs ISD will begin selling season tickets for the upcoming season on August 8. Tickets will be available to anyone who is interested, and will be sold beginning at 8 a.m. There will be no all-sport passes for the 2016-2017 year.

August 8 Beekeepers Meeting

The Caddo Trace Beekeepers Association will meet Monday, Aug. 8 at the Agi-Life Building, located at 1708 Industrial Road in Mount Pleasant. Karin Bayne from Marshall will present a program on Difficult Cut-Outs. A Question and Answer session starts at 6:30 p.m. and the program at 7:00 p.m. The public is invited. August 13 Clothing give away

There will be a “Back to School” clothing giveaway at Daingerfield Church of Christ on August 13, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Ladies, men’s, and children’s clothing and shoes free.

August 14 Homecoming Service

The New Jerusalem Baptist Church will hold Homecoming Services at the church on Aug.14, at 3:00 p.m. This year marks the 98th anniversary of the church, which was established in 1918. It is located on County Road 2113. The public is invited.

September 10 Electric Arc Furnace Reunion

Anyone who worked in the Electric Arc Furnace department at Lone Star Steel/U.S. Steel is invited to a reunion to be held on Sept. 10 at 12 p.m. The reunion will take place at Catfish Village located on Highway 155, north of Ore City.

September 24 Golf Tournament
