The annual Community Stew and Style Show will be held at 6 p.m. at the Methodist Activity Center in Daingerfield. The event is sponsored by the Daingerfield Business & Professional Women’s Club, and benefits local high senior girls through scholarships.
October 8 Spaghetti Lunch
Come have lunch with us during Treasure Trails. Avinger United Methodist Church, Fellowship Hall, 11:00 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Spaghetti lunch with salad, bread sticks, dessert and tea for $8.00.
October 8 Treasure Trails
Avinger invites you to come browse at Treasure Trails. 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m., Main Street in Avinger. Come early if you want to set up a table of your own, or contact CRESS to donate items. 903-562-2256.
October 8 Daingerfield Days
The annual Daingerfield Days Fall Festival will be held on October 8. Various Activities will be held in the downtown area, and last all day. See the October 6 edition of The Steel Country Bee for a calendar of events.
October 8 Daingerfield All School Reunion
The Daingerfield All School Reunion will be held on Oct. 8, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. The event will be held at the Morris County Courthouse Annex, and is hosted by the Daingerfield-Lone Star Education Foundation and the Daingerfield Alumni Association.
October 8 Veterans Appreciation Event
Free concert and meal at the home of Mickey & Debbie Rorex, 12404 TX HWY 11, Hughes Springs. In appreciation of your sacrifice to our country, this day is for you to relax and enjoy the company of other veterans. Families, friends and veteran supporters are invited. October 9 151st Anniversary
The Pine Bluff Baptist Church, located on Highway 250, will celebrate their 151st church anniversary on Oct. 9 at 2:30 p.m. Rev. W.R. Collins and the Floyd Valley Baptist Church from Marietta will be the special guests. Host Pastor Rev. Roy Miles cordially invites the public to attend.
October 11, 18, 25 Preschool Story
Time Preschool story time continues at the Hughes Springs Area Public Library, and happens every Tuesday morning at 10:15 a.m. This FREE story time lasts about 45 minutes, and is open to all preschoolers age 3 and older.
October 27 NTCC Culinary Arts Dinner
The Northeast Texas Community College Culinary Arts Program will host a special Thursday Night Dinner on October 27. The dinner will be held at the NTCC Culinary School in historic downtown Pittsburg and is open to the public. Tickets go on sale Monday, Oct. 3rd. Tickets can be obtained only at the NTCC Hanson- Sewell Center at 237 College Street in Pittsburg. Cash and checks are accepted for payment. Please call 903- 434-8393 for more details. The cost is $12 per person and each diner must have a ticket to be admitted to the event. Seating will be from 6:00-6:30 p.m.
