Three more charged in school theft case

Three more arrests have been made in connection with the recent theft of property from Daingerfield-Lone Star ISD, according to D-LS ISD Police Chief T.J. Frazier.

On Sunday, Oct. 16, a 911 call was received, stating a D-LS ISD vehicle was seen driving on Highway 67. Upon investigation of the school grounds, Frazier discovered entry had been made into the maintenance building, where four vehicles and numerous tools and other items had been stolen. The total value of the stolen property, according to Frazier, was $105,000.

Arrested in connection with the case were Charles Casey Hooper, Dayton Wallace Hargett, Maria Ann Sanders, and Richard Snyder. In addition to those four, three more have been arrested, according to Frazier. David Baker was arrested on a charge of theft of property, over $30,000 and under $150,000. Charlie Porter was charged with theft of property, over $750 and under $2,500 as well as engaging in organized criminal activity. Clinton Henderson was also arrested in connection with the case. Henderson was charged with the following charges: theft of property, over $30,000, under $150,000; engaging in organized criminal activity; and burglary of a building.
