EDWARDS

 Services for R. C. Edwards, 93 of Lone Star were held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, Oct.26, at the Nail-Haggard Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Ben Terry officiating. Burial followed in the Iron Bluff Cemetery in Lone Star.

R. C. was born on May 12, 1923 in Bristow, Ok. to Claude and Cleo Edwards and died on Sunday, Oct. 23, in Longview.

He was a member of The Worship Center in Lone Star, veteran of the U S Army serving in World War II and Korean Conflict. R. C. was retired from Chevron as a field operator.

Survived by his wife of 73 years Maxine Edwards of Lone Star; son Bob Edwards of Georgetown; daughters and sons-in-law Joyce and Noel Conley of Rowlett, Linda and John Little of Longview; grandchildren and spouses, Rodney and Wendi Matthews of South Lake, Alan and Rachel Allen of Lewisville, Tifani and Andy Hesser of Rockwell, Marcus and Tanya Edwards of Salado, Kyle and Sarah Whitehead of Allen and Jana and Heath Dunn of Rowlett; 14 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild; many special “Adopted” grandchildren.
