MARTIN

Services for Annie Lucille Martin 83 of Daingerfield, formally of Mesquite, were held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 10 at the Nail-Haggard Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. David Shelton officiating. Burial followed in the Daingerfield Cemetery.

Annie was born on July 30, 1933 in Daingerfield to James Edgar and Emma Fay Martin, and died on Sunday, Nov. 6.

She was a member of the Assembly of God Church, Goodbar Recreation Center in Mesquite and was a retired supervisor for Continental Insurance Company in Mesquite, where she worked from 1952 till 1990. Annie received volunteer of the year award in 2005 and 2011, was awarded The Presidents Volunteer Service Award in 2014 by the Mayor of Mesquite and was a resident of Christian Care Senior Living Community also in Mesquite.

She is survived by her sisters and brothers-in-law Bea and LaRue Marley of Hughes Springs, Ruby and Ray Walker of Daingerfield and Lila Beaver of Arlington; brothers and sisters-in-law Curtis and Betsy Martin of Mt. Pleasant and Clifton and Martha Martin of Daingerfield; many nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews.
