“President Donald Trump”: here is why it happened

A Patriot's Opinion

History was made on Tuesday, Nov. 8 when a man with no political experience was elected to the highest office in the land. Many Americans (mainly Democrats) were baffled on election night as to how this could have happened. However this American was not. I know exactly why it happened. The reasons for this phenomenon have been brewing for years. So let’s look at the reasons for Mr. Trump’s successful election.

First, being an outsider is a huge disadvantage in the standard American political system. However, it turned out to actually be an asset in Mr. Trump’s case. When he spoke, he said things that many Americans were thinking. His proposals made sense compared to the politically correct mumbo jumbo that we are usually fed by typical politicians. Many Americans have grown tired and fed up with what has been termed as “establishment” politicians. For decades we have been victimized by politicians of both parties promising the moon and delivering very little. The other huge mistake was the large number of politicians who fell into the “political correctness” hole and couldn’t find their way out.

As far as Hillary Clinton’s mistakes there were many. She was caught red handed trying to rig the system in her favor. They rigged the DNC process in order to keep Bernie Sanders from winning the nomination. And once the emails proving this deception came out DNC Chairman Debbie Wassermann Schultz was forced to resign. Then to add insult to injury her replacement Donna Brazile was later found to have given debate questions to the Clinton campaign ahead of time when she was with CNN.

Another huge mistake by Hillary Clinton was the “Deplorables” comment. That sparked a huge negative response from Donald Trump’s supporters. For someone as politically savvy as Ms. Clinton that was just stupid. That comment did nothing but increase the anger of Donald Trump’s supporters and made them that much more committed.

But her biggest mistake however was her email scandal. The bottom line is what she did was wrong. Federal laws were broken plain and simple. And the FBI made it worse by ignoring it as if it was a traffic ticket. Emails later showed that there was indeed intent to avoid future freedom of information requests by deleting official government documents from her time as secretary of state. Even with the documented proof the American people were told, “Nothing to see here move along”. That was also a big mistake. Even average Americans know when something is legally and morally wrong.

The Wikileaks emails were another major factor is swaying voters. When people started reading what was going on behind the scenes of the Clinton campaign, nothing good came from those releases. The lies and the deception that those emails showed were devastating. Voters used to have an expectation that their candidates and leaders were doing the right thing. But those emails proved otherwise. Hillary’s campaign basically blew these emails off again telling us there was nothing to see here either. And by the way it was not the Russians who leaked those emails.

The American media is probably more to blame for Hillary Clinton’s loss than anyone. 95% of the media outlets in this country basically became campaign surrogates for Hillary Clinton rather than being journalists. The liberal bias of these media outlets has become so blatant in recent years. They used to try and hide it but now they come right out and tell you. This past summer one of the ABC News anchors made this comment on live TV. He said “well we are doing everything we can to help her” referring to Hillary’s campaign. And the media was right there at every turn to cover up anything about her emails, her lies, and anything else that would have a negative impact on her campaign. And when the media covered anything having to do with Donald Trump their only mission was to make it something negative. Despite what you have heard Mr. Trump has done a lot of good things over the years. He is an amazing family man. He has done so many great humanitarian things for so many people over the years. But those positive things were not part of the media’s agenda. They went all out to try and help Hillary Clinton and ignored the good things he had done. That was a big mistake as well. And last, but not least, Hillary, the media ignored the average, hard-working American. The American people are tired of being told what they can’t do while illegal immigrants and others are given free reign. We are tired of our borders being left wide open. We are tired of being told to curb our religious beliefs so as not to offend others. Many of our rights as American citizens have been trampled on due to the liberal policies we have been forced to swallow like Obamacare. The Supreme Court has been turned into a political arm of the government. We are tired of paying higher taxes and higher insurance premiums in order to pay for freebies to be handed out to illegals and others who don’t deserve or haven’t earned them. We are tired of seeing our veterans ignored. We are tired of being lied to. Basically, we are just tired of business as usual. And the result was what you saw last Tuesday night.

I have been telling people for 10 years that another civil war was coming if government did not stop intruding on our rights. Luckily that war has been won without firing a shot. And to the protesters who have rioted and burned buildings and cars because they didn’t like the outcome of the election. Grow up! Many Americans did not agree with the last presidential election but we didn’t riot and burn anything, so get over it. The American people won this election.
