The Buzz: Hometown papers are important

The perception of what a weekly newspaper is and what it isn’t always amazes me. Recently, at the same time, I heard two very different opinions of your local newspaper.
One lady was very vocal in her saying she liked to read the columns I write, and she said over and over that she enjoys them. I have heard her say that before and am always amazed and appreciative of her uplifting remarks. Everyone wants to know the job they are doing is appreciated by someone.
