Brookshire’s of Daingerfield recently partnered with Hormel Foods Corporation to make a donation to area food banks.
The two companies joined forces to donate $100,000 in Hormel Cure 81® hams to area food banks. Ninety of those hams were divided among local food banks at the Daingerfield Church of Christ and First Baptist Church of Cason.

“Brookshire’s and Hormel Foods are heavily involved in community outreach and are big supporters of programs that provide food for people in need. Hormel Cure 81® Hams for Hunger is an amazing program that allows us to partner with Brookshire’s in support of hunger relief locally,” said Megan Elliot, brand manager at Hormel Foods.

“We’re excited about this opportunity to give back through this project that helps so many people in the communities we serve. Hormel Cure 81® ham is a premium brand and product, and we’re happy to help bring it to the tables of people in need within our market areas,” said Lane Garland, store director at Brookshire’s Food Store, located in Daingerfield.
