The Lady Tigers
battled the Redwater Lady Dragons, coming
within seconds of notching their first district
win on Feb. 3.
Daignerfield ultimately fell to the Lady
Dragons, 37-35.
Montrevia Durham notched a double
double, scoring 18 points to go with 10 rebounds.
Durham also added four steals in the
loss. Kiara Robinson had eight points for the
Lady Tigers, along with four rebounds and
two steals.
Jasmine Tatum had six points and three
rebounds; Mo Sok scored two points, while
Makayla Robinson added one.
Kahleyia Johnson grabbed 10 rebounds,
three steals, and two assists, while Dee Hall
had eight rebounds and six assists in the loss.
The Lady Tigers finished up the regular
season at Paul Pewitt on Tuesday.
Hughes Spring 30,
Daingerfield 25
DAINGERFIELD -- The Lady Tigers
fought a tough matchup with the Hughes
Springs Lady Mustangs, losing 30-25 on Jan.
31.
The Lady Tigers rallied before falling,
outscoring the Lady Mustangs 25-12 in the
fourth quarter.
Montrevia Durham led the Lady Tigers
with eight points, eight rebounds, and three
steals. Jasmine Tatum had seven points,
while Kahleyia Johnson added four points,
10 rebounds and five steals.
Dee Hall also scored four points with six
rebounds and three steals. Kiara Robinson
scored two for DHS.
Hughes Springs was led by Haley Roth
and Zoe Lanier, who each scored a team-high
10 apiece in the win.
Avinger 57, Union Hill 17
AVINGER -- Brianna Young made seven
three-pointers to finish with 23 points in the
Avinger Lady Indians 57-17 win over Union
Hill on Jan. 31. Young finished the game with
seven 3-pointers.
Brooke Kirkpatrick added 18 points for
the Indians, while Jayden Grant scored six
points.
Michelle Garrett added five for Avinger,
who moved to 6-1 in District 24-A.
