Summer Feeding Program
Daingerfield-Lone Star ISD is sponsoring the summer feeding program. Breakfast is served from 7:30 to 8:15 a.m. and lunch is 10:50 a.m. to noon Monday through Thursday. All children under the age of 18 eat free. The program starts June 10 and runs through July 11. Breakfasts are at the South Elementary café. Lunches are taken to Daingerfield City Park each day at 11 a.m., Lone Star City Park at 11:30 a.m., and County Squire Apartments at noon.

Pageant
Miss American Sweetheart Pageant will be held June 29, at 10 a.m., at the Linden-Kildare High School Auditorium for ages 0-18.  Deadline to enter is June 15. Contact Jamie O’Rand-Stone for more information at:  903-756-5577 or 903-756-5041 orandstone@hotmail.com.

Cheer Clinic
There will a cheer clinic held at the Daingerfield High School June 14 and 15 for ages 2 to 12. On June 14 the clinic will be held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and students will require a sack lunch and a water bottle. On June 15, it will be from 8 a.m. to noon, with the parent show at 11 a.m. For more information contact Skye Staples at 903-285-2993.

Revival
The annual revival will be held at the Pine Buff Baptist Church, located on Highway 250 between Hughes Springs and Marietta, on June 6 and 7 at 7 p.m. Guest evangelist will be the Rev. S.L. Harris, pastor of the Collier Chapel Baptist Church in Baldwin. The public is invited.

Basketball Camp
The Daingerfield Tigers basketball camp for boys and girls ages 8 through 14 will be held June 10 through 13 from 8:30 a.m. to noon at the high school gym. For further information, call Coach Curtis Lewis at 903-645-2409 or 903-573-0097 or Janet Larsen at the field house at 903-645-3465.

Reunion
Mt. Zion Cemetery annual reunion will be held at 11 a.m. June 9 at the cemetery. Bring covered dish for lunch. The cemetery is located off of Highway 59 South on County Road 2683 about two miles. For more info contact Nancy at 903-938-1175.

Movies in the Park
Movies in the Park are held at dusk at Spring Creek Park in Hughes Springs. June 14 will be the “Life of PI” and June 15 will be “Sinbad.” “Tooth Fairy 2” will show June 28 and “Bee Movie” on June 29. For questions, call 903-639-7519 or 903-639-2351.

Sunday School Day    
The New Hope Missionary Baptist Church will hold its annual Sunday School Day on June 9 at 3 p.m. Guest speaker will be Wayne Robinson, pastor of Wallick Chapel Christian Church in Daingerfield. Everyone is invited.
