Morris County District Attorney releases monthly case report

DAINGERFIELD – The Morris County District and County Attorney’s office has released their monthly report for September.

The report details cases assessed under Attorney Steve Cowan newly implemented plan to render more efficient and effective judgments. According to County Investigator Ross Dickson, a total of 19 convictions have been handed down under Cowan’s new system. Of those, 12 were misdemeanor and seven were felony convictions.

Those convictions led to 233 days in the county jail and four years in state jail. Forty-eight years prison time has been assessed during September, along with 17 years probation..
