Hughes Springs native releases first book

HUGHES SPRINGS – Hughes Springs native Lisa K. Brown has released her first book, entitled “If Cheese Made You Thin, I’d be Invisible by Now.” Brown’s book was released on Amazon on Sept. 25.

Brown’s book takes the reader on a journey through her own struggles and accomplishments. According to Amazon.com’s synopsis, Brown “writes in her perfectly self-deprecating way about everything from a lifetime of dieting, her childhood obsession with both Davy Jones and Ernest Borgnine, to her strange marriage and ultimate divorce—all while inducing laughter and tears along the way. You will celebrate her victories and relate to her pitfalls as Lisa shares the insights and shortcomings of a woman just trying to survive (while maintaining her childhood dream of someday becoming Mrs. Bobby Sherman).”
