Juveniles cited after Lone Star Elementary building vandalized

LONE STAR – Seven juveniles have been cited and have pending court dates with the Lone Star City judge following an investigation into vandalism into the vacant Lone Star Elementary School building.

According to Lone Star Police Chief Larry Fleet, the department responded to the former school building in reference to vandalism that had occurred the night of Nov. 19. Through their investigation, officers discovered that the floor and walls in the cafeteria had been vandalized with spray paint.

Officers determined the vandalism was the work of a group of seven juveniles, all of whom reside in Hughes Springs. The juveniles had been in the property on the evening.
