Erma Lee Hegler

DAINGERFIELD-Memorial services for Erma Lee Hegler, 83 of Daingerfield, beloved wife, mother and grandma were held January 20, at Jenkins United Methodist Church with Bro. Jerry Irvin officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Nail-Haggard Funeral Home. Erma was born on Oct. 20, 1934 in Keota, Okla. She died on Friday, Jan. 12, 2018. She was a member of Jenkins United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir. Erma was a proud member of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma and worked at TOPPS for 12 years. She was a cancer survivor and rang the bell on Nov. 2, 2017. She was preceded in death by her mother Valdona Bonaparte, step father Charles Bonaparte, son Harold Lynn Hegler, Jr., 2 grandchildren Rachel and Jacob Hegler. She is survived by her husband of 62 years Harold Lynn Hegler of Daingerfield; sons and daughters-in-law Charles Lee Hegler of Daingerfield, Troy Layne and Candace Hegler of Durant, Okla., and Christopher Layne and Katherine Hegler of Lone Star; sister Tina Mackey of Wister, Okla.; 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; 3 nephews.
