Genealogical society provides books to library

The Cass County Genealogical Society recently held their June meeting and picnic. During the meeting, Society President Charlotte Evans was presented two new books to be added to the Genealogy/Family History Section of the Atlanta Public Library. The books will also be made available for sale by C.C.G.S. Publishing.

“Mills Creek Missionary Baptist Church” is a 144-page book that was compiled by Audrey Rankin and Kathy Peacock. The book was placed in the Cass County Genealogical Records May 14. The book presents the history, minutes, and membership rolls of a church that was active in Cass County from September 1933 to April 2002.
