Julia Elizabeth Powell Lilley passed away June 19, at a Texarkana, Texas hospital. She was 69.

Judy Beth was born Nov. 17, 1943, in Little Rock, Ark., to Harold Kay and Wilma Dale Smith Powell. She was a retired accountant from Red River Army Depot, where she worked for over 30 years. Judy Beth was a member of Tapp United Methodist Church in New Boston.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Wilma Dale Powell; two sisters, Linda Dale Turicchi and Laurel Kay Humphrey; and a nephew, Ricky Humphrey.

She is survived by her husband, Wayne Lilley of New Boston; her father, Harold Kay Powell of New Boston; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Tracy and John Attaway of Fouke, Ark., Keri Lynn and Carter McGuire of Texarkana, Ark. and Leslie Anderson of New Boston; one son, Ronnie Gardipe of Daingerfield, Texas; one sister and brother-in-law, Diane and Lin Wilson of Canyon Lake; and two brothers and sisters-in-law, Buell and Phyllis Powell of Canyon Lake and Harold and Marty Powell of Malta. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren, Elizabeth Rowton and her husband, Michael; Cindy Brent and her husband Colt, Sonny Nichols, Ashley Nichols, Brittany and Devon Gardipe, Hailey McGuire, Pam McGuire, Baby McGuire and Olivia Anderson; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 22, at Tapp United Methodist Church in New Boston, with Rev. Rick Ivey officiating. Interment followed at Red Bayou Cemetery in New Boston under the direction of Bates Family Funeral Home. Visitation was held from 12:30 to 2 p.m. Saturday, June 22, at Tapp United Methodist Church in New Boston.
