Avinger fire fighter attends media class

Over 1,900 firefighters attended the 84th Annual Municipal Fire School at Texas A&M University during the week of July 21. The fire training school is conducted by the Texas A&M Engineering Extension Agency (TEEX). Participants included representatives of municipal and volunteer fire departments across the United States and foreign countries. Courses taught encompassed training in various levels of firefighter, fire prevention, fire investigation, rescue, and specialty courses.
