School is back in full swing

School is in session, and the air is full of plans for volleyball and Friday night football games. Bands have been practicing and marching to perform at the games. Students in the area went to school Aug. 22 to meet their teachers for the year and take supplies to school. 

I have the great fortune of being able to cruise the schools on “Meet the Teacher” night.  This year I began my venture at West Elementary School in Daingerfield where the lobby was full of tables and people sitting at them to offer information to the incoming parents and students. Dollar Dog from the North East Texas Credit Union was sitting awfully still and for a few seconds, I thought it was a stuffed one, but when questioned, I saw a paw move.
