Services for Johnnie ‘Pete’ Black, 89, of Leesburg, will be held Saturday, April 6, at Reeder-Davis Chapel with Les Colley officiating. Interment will follow in Harris Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 Friday evening at the Reeder-Davis Funeral Home.

Mr. Black was born Sept. 29, 1923, and died April 1, at a Tyler hospital.

Services for Maudie Bell Nickleberry, 98, of Marietta, will be held March 30 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. Marcus Lockett officiating. Interment will be in Pleasant Hill Community Cemetery.

Mrs. Nickleberry was born June 19, 1914, in Linden and died March 20 in Atlanta.

Patricia Ann Coe

Patricia Ann Coe

Services for Patricia Ann Coe, 51, of Hughes Springs, will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, March 28, at Reeder-Davis Chapel, with Randy Seybert officiating.  Interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park, under the direction of Reeder-David Funeral Home in Hughes Springs.  There will be a time of visitation from 6 until 8 Wednesday evening at the funeral home.

Mrs. Coe was born June 9, 1961, and died March 25, at her home.  She ran an in-home day care for over 20 years.  She helped raise many of the children of Lone Star, Daingerfield, and Hughes Springs. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Darlene Barrickman.

Survivors include her husband, Marty Coe, of Hughes Springs; one son, Mark Coe, of Hughes Springs; one daughter, Kristy Rogers and her husband, Rick of Houston; two brothers and sister-in-laws, Bobby and Janet Barrickman, of Jenkins, and Keith and Melissa Barrickman, of Daingerfield; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Don C. Wilbanks, 69, of Cornett, will be at 1 p.m., Friday, March 29, 2013 at Reeder-Davis Chapel. Burial will follow at Cornett Cemetery, under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home, of Hughes Springs. Visitation will be from 6 until 8, Thursday evening at the funeral home.
Mr. Wilbanks was born March 21, 1944, to Carl and Dora Wilbanks, and died March 25.

Services for Jimmy Ray Jones, 70, of Daingerfield, formerly of Belton, will be held at 2:30 p.m., Saturday, March 30, 2013 at the Dossman Funeral Home in Belton with the Rev. Sam Calloway officiating. 

The family will receive friends for visitation Friday evening from 6 to 8 at the Dossman Funeral Home. 

Mr. Jones died March 23, in a Tyler hospital, surrounded by his family.  

Mr. Jones was born in Belton, Aug. 28, 1942, the son of Oma Lee Bell and Perrie Vernon Jones. He graduated from Killeen High School after which he attended Sam Houston State Teachers College on scholarship. He earned a bachelor of music degree in string bass performance. He also earned a master of science as well as master of music degrees from East Texas State University. Mr. Jones has received numerous professional awards including Outstanding Educator in America.

Services for Josephine Cooper, 86, of Mount Pleasant, were held March 20 at North Jefferson Church of Christ in Mount Pleasant with Kris Groda, Weldon Miller, and Jim Parker officiating. Interment was in Neveills Chapel Cemetery in Mount Pleasant.
Mrs. Cooper was born Dec. 17, 1926, in Mount Pleasant and died March 17 at her residence.

Phillips 

Services for Lloyd Paul Phillips, 90, of Wichita Falls, were held March 20 at Lunn’s Colonial Chapel with Deacon Anastacio Perez officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Lunn’s Colonial Funeral Home.
Mr. Phillips was born July 3, 1922, in Daingerfield and died March 18 in Wichita Falls. He served his country in the U.S. Army Air Corp from 1942 until 1946. He performed maintenance on air drones and loaded material from trucks to airplanes. He was very proud of his military career and loved to speak of time in the military, sharing his thoughts and opinions with anyone willing to listen.
Having been raised on a farm in East Texas, he loved gardening and growing vegetables. Mostly, he loved to spend time with his children and grandchildren. He never complained about life and would lend a hand whenever he could.

Services for Helen Ruth Wilson, 78, of Linden, were held March 18 in Linden with Todd Reed and Anna Hensley officiating. Interment was in Flat Creek Cemetery in Linden.
Mrs. Wilson was born Oct. 18, 1934, in Cass County to Harvey Boone Wilson and Verna Mae Hixson Wilson and died March 14 in Texarkana, Ark.

Services for Richard Eugene Martin, 72, of Bivins, were held March 27 in Linden. Interment was in Kildare Cemetery in Kildare.

Mr. Martin was born Aug. 4, 1940, in Dallas to James Earl and Dorothy Housewright Martin, and died March 25 at his home.
