AUSTIN -- Charline Stowers Coco, age 79, passed away Oct. 24 in Austin. She was born Aug. 17, 1938 in Annona, Texas to Millard and Grace Morrison. Charline lived in Daingerfield and attended high school at Annona High School. She later attended the University of Alabama and the University of Houston with a degree in Psychology. She retired from the Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services after over 30 years of state service in Houston and Austin. Charline served as an Investigator, Public Information Officer, agency Custodian of Records and manager of the Consumer Rights and Services Division. Charline married John Caleb Stowers in 1959 and had two children, John and Jean Christina. They lived together in Las Cruses, New Mexico, Huntsville, Alabama, and eventually relocated to Clear Lake City in 1965. She moved to Austin in 1983. She married Vincent Joseph Coco in 1987. Charline was an avid reader and loved shopping sales at clothing, pawn, and mall shops.
