LINDEN -- Royce Paul Henderson, age 69, died Sept. 6, in Linden. He was born Feb. 17, 1948 in Atlanta. Services were held Sept 9, at Linden United Methodist Church with Dr. Bryan Baggett officiating. DAINGERFIELD -- Ronald Delano “R.D.” Sisk of Chesapeake, Virginia, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, Aug. 25. Ronnie was born on Nov. 23, 1956 to Frank and Annie Sisk of Daingerfield, Texas. His music career spanned over 42 years. He worked as an electrician, musician, and sound engineer throughout the Virginia Beach region.

LINDEN -- William Thomas Kay, 82, of Linden died Sept. 5. Mr. Kay was born June 22, 1935 in Cass County. Services were held Sept. 10 at Zion Hill Cemetery with Bro. Starkey Gunn officiating, under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Linden.

LINDEN -- Iris Hortence Lee, 98, of Linden passed away peacefully at her home on Sept. 4. Services were held Sept. 5 at Warren Springs Cemetery under the direction of Reeder- Davis Funeral Home in Linden.

AVINGER -- Services for Mr. Jeff Roberts, 58, of Hughes Springs, were held Sept. 7 at First Baptist Church in Avinger. Burial followed at Hughes Springs Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Hughes Springs. Mr. Roberts was born March 12, 1959 in Marshall and died Sept. 4 at a Longview hospital.

DAINGERFIELD -- Michael Sealand, age 60, of Daingerfield, Texas, passed away at his home Tuesday morning, Aug. 22, surrounded by his family. Michael was born Dec. 14, 1956 in Grove City, Pennsylvania to Paul “Mike” Sealand and Alice Deel Sealand. After graduating high school Michael served three years in the US Army. Afterwards he worked as a division manager for an oil pipeline inspection company for 28 and a half years. In 1997 Michael married the love of his life, Joyce Robinson. Michael was a wonderful brother, and an excellent husband and father. Michael was cherished by his family for his absolute dedication to them. He worked tirelessly to make sure that his wife and children wanted for nothing. Although Michael had no biological children of his own he raised Joyce’s children as his and was devoted to them. Michael was truly a one-of-a-kind man. Later in life Michael was thrilled to be “Pawpaw” to his 18 grandchildren.

LINDEN – Mary Elizabeth Harrod, 84, of Linden died Aug. 25. Ms. Harrod was born July 30, 1933 in Jefferson. Services were held Aug. 28 at the New Colony Baptist Church with Bro. LINDEN– Inez Marie Burleson, 72, of Linden died Aug. 24. Mrs. Burleson was born Jan. 31, 1945. Services were held Aug. 27 in the chapel of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Linden with Bro.
