Rogan

DAINGERFIELD -- John Harry Rogan, known by his family and friends as “Chip”, was born on February
9, 1959 in Olathe, Kansas to Harry Martin Rogan and Frances Aline Rogan. He passed away at
the young age of 58 on July 10, at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center in Carrollton,
Texas.
His passion for cars and his need for speed led him to Dallas, where he joined Our Gang Street Club, The Pontiac Club,
and The Corvette Club. After achieving his racing goals, he switched his focus back to carpentry, which led him to his
new-found passion of cabin building, woodworking, and tree farming. Through hard work, courage, determination,
and the drive to better himself, he made a “late life” career change. After attending radiology school, Chip received his
NCT X-ray License and launched his new career. He quickly advanced at OrthoTexas in Carrollton and was put in charge

services for Loy Gail Cox, Jr. 84, of Daingerfield, were held July 22 at the Rocky Branch Missionary Baptist
Church with Ricky Knight officiating.
Loy was born on Jan. 13, 1933 in Cunningham, Texas to Fred Travis and Robbie Mae Bell Cox and died on Monday,
July 17 in Daingerfield.
He was a member of the Rocky Branch Missionary Baptist Church and a self-employed appliance repairman.
He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter Lorrie Maeline Myers.
Survived by his wife Charline Cox of Dainger eld; sons Loy Cox, Jr. and wife Virginia of Hughes Springs, Duane
Cox of Hughes Springs; daughter Carla Pearson and husband John of Gallatin, Tn.; brother Scott Cox; sisters Nancy
Reese and Sarah McAfee; six grandchildren: Jessica Walsworth, Justin Cox, Dylan Cox, Shaun Pearson, Shane
Pearson and Anthony Cox; and two great grandchildren: Caden Rylan Walsworth and Caylee Brooke Walsworth.

HUGHES SPRINGS -- A memorial service for Jessie Mae Goolsby, 63, of Naples
will be at 2:00 on Saturday, July 29 at Hughes Springs Church of Christ. Interment will be at Woodlawn Memorial Park/Reeder-Davis Hughes Springs.
Jessie was born July 25, 1953 in Pittsburg, and passed away June 26, in Mount Pleasant, TX.
She is survived by 2 daughters and sons-in-law; Tammy and Rey Salinas of North Richland Hills, TX, Jessica and Chris Waller
of Hughes Springs, TX, 6 grandchildren; 5 siblings: Martha Robinson, Sally Ormes, Carolyn Tucker, Johnny Goolsby,
and Judy Doris; best friend; Shirley Littlepage and several nieces and nephews. Jessie was preceded in death by her
parents and sister Ruby Truitt.
