DAINGERFIELD – Linda Darlene Haynes (Stokes), 68, passed away July 7 in Michigan. She was born Oct. 30, 1948.
She worked many jobs in life, but the most important was being a mother to her five children, a grandmother to her 24 grandchildren, and a
great grandmother to her 36 great grandchildren.
She is survived by her children and their families: Billie Jo Haynes, (grandchildren: Randolph, Ronald, Ebony, and
Jazzman); Bobbie Jo Haynes (grandchildren: Trent, William, Quincy, Melvin, Bobby Joe, Linda, Mark, and Mike);
Mel F. Haynes, Sr. (grandchildren: Catrina, Andrew, Corey, Mel, Jr., and Jessica); Terri Michelle Gholston (grandchildren:
Alexaundria, Amber, Diamond, and Terry, Jr.; great-grandchildren: Alexx (Gus), Isaac (Ike), and Adden
(Lil’Eddie)); and Diannie Kelley Haynes (grandchildren: Stephanie, Tiffanie, and Lydia.)

PITTSBURG -- Virgil Faires, age 63, was born Nov. 9, 1953 in Bolivar, Tenn., and passed away June 9, 2017 in Tyler, Texas.
Virgil was a Church of Christ minister serving the Lord in a number of churches, the last 28 years at the Greer Boulevard Church of Christ in Pittsburg, Texas.
He is survived by his wife: Melinda Faires of Pittsburg, Texas; 4 children: Frankie and Jennifer Faires of Argyle, Texas, Lacey and Bryan Boykin of Greeley, Colorado, Jordan and Greg Kummer of Carrolton, Texas, Josh Roper of Euless, Texas; 3 grandchildren: Jack, Aiden and Jolai; brother: John Faires of Hackett, Ark.; 5 sisters: Linda and David Bailey of Midland, Ark., Beverly and Tim Atkins of Bentonville, Ark., Teresa and Jimmy Griffin of Fayettville, Ark., Sandra and Mark Barnhill of Bolton, North Carolina., Terri and Wayne Hayami of Mililani, Hawaii.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Tina Santos Faires.

ORE CITY -- Services for Wilma “Jean” Duffey, 81, of Ore City were held June 11, at First Baptist Church in Ore City with Bro. Ken Mills and Bro. James Gray officiating. Burial followed at Dennis Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Ore City. Duffey was born July 23, 1935 in Hughes Springs and died June 8 at her home.

DAINGERFIELD - Memorial services for Brenda Gail Massingill, 71, of Hughes Springs were June 10, at the Nail-Haggard Funeral Home Chapel.
Brenda was born on November 5, 1945 in Daingerfield to R. L. and Artell Phillips, she died on June 4, in Hughes Springs.
She was a homemaker who loved her family and enjoyed making flowers and yard work. Brenda also loved her grandbabies.
Brenda was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved husband of 50 years, Charles David Massingill.
Survived by her daughters and sons-in-law Beatrice and Jay Blackburn of Hughes Springs, Tina and Richard Gaskin of Naples; sister and brother-in-law Barbara and Allen Thomas of Grand Saline; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
