Daingerfield- Services for Nancy McKinney Phillips, 77 of Daingerfield were held Aug. 7, at First United Methodist Church with Bro. Dan Gilliam officiating. Burial followed in the Daingerfield Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Nail-Haggard Funeral Home. Nancy was born on Aug. 2, 1940 in Hughes Springs to Earl W. and Inez Williams McKinney. She was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on Aug. 4, 2017 after a brief illness. She was a Methodist, homemaker and co-founder of Phillips Concessions. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 48 years Don E. Phillips; previous husband Jimmy Poteet; brother and sister-in-law Jimmy and Pat McKinney; a sister, Karline Vaughn; grandson Jeffery Phillips and great granddaughter Kellyann Vaughn.

AVINGER -- Charles (Charlie) Coppedge Smith was born at the Smith family home place in Avinger on Aug. 28, 1940 to Reverend Harmon and Mary Smith. Charlie was the youngest of four children and the only son. He departed this life on Aug. 4, at The Springs Nursing Center in Hughes Springs. Charlie was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Martha Sue Smith, his brothers-in-law Hugh Goodpasture, Eugene Grubbs and Jearl Hayes, his father and mother-inlaw Harvey and Mary McKinney and his grandson Christopher Smith.

QUEEN CITY -- Services for Sharon ElaRee Lawrence Anderson, 60, of Queen City were held Aug. 7, at Center Grove Baptist Church with Rev. A.B. Hicks and Bro. Donnie Vallery officiating. Burial followed at Center Grove Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Linden. Mrs. Anderson was born Oct. 1, 1956 and passed away Aug. 4.

AVINGER -- Services for Oneta Ruth Holmes, 84, of Avinger, were held Aug. 7, at Reeder-Davis Chapel. Burial followed at Jackson Cemetery in Avery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Hughes Springs. Ms. Holmes was born Feb. 17, 1933 and passed away Aug. 4. She died Aug. 2 in Richardson.
