BURGERSON

LONE STAR -- Ronald Lee Burgerson of Lone Star, was born July 31, 1938 in Chicago, Ill., and passed away on Feb. 15, after a courageous battle with Parkinson’s disease. Ronald attended TCU and UT Arlington. He retired as a Vice President of Friedman Industries, Incorporated after 51 years of dedicated service. He was passionate about all sports, especially Daingerfield Tiger football, where he was a season ticket holder for 40 years. Ronald was preceded in death by his parents, Bob Burgerson and wife, Granny Sam; son, Lindsey; and mother and father-in-law, Louise and Esque Foster. He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Edna Burgerson; children, Randall Burgerson and wife Deb of Fort Worth, and Rony Hill and husband Barry of Little Rock, Ark.; grandchildren, Amber, Kenzie, and Ransom; great grandchildren, Roman and Alaina. Edna and the family would like to thank Titus Regional Medical Center staff and Cypress Basin Hospice for their loving care.

STEWART

HUGHES SPRINGS -- Helen Christine Stewart, 91 passed away on Feb. 7, into the loving arms of her Savior. She was born July 11, 1926 to Edgar and Oma Mae Pollan. She lived as she believed. Her life was an example and she strived to love and live like Jesus. She loved everyone unconditionally. She was preceded in death by her husband, Efton Stewart; and two brothers, R.C. and Edwin Pollan. Left to cherish her memory are sons and daughters-inlaw, Ronnie and Carol Stewart of Avinger, Eddie and Kay Stewart of Jenkins, Jimmy and Kathy Stewart of Hughes Springs; daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Bill Patterson of Avinger, Janice and James Jackson of Hughes Springs, Jeanie and Doye Wilbanks of Rocky Branch. She was a loving granny to 12 grandkids and numerous great-grandkids and great great-grandkids. Services for Ms. Stewart were held Feb. 10, at Reeder-Davis Chapel. Burial followed at County Line Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Hughes Springs.

PATTERSON

HUGHES SPRINGS -- Services for Debra Lee Patterson, 56, of Hughes Springs, were held Feb. 9, at Reeder- Davis Chapel. Burial followed at Sardis Cemetery under the direction of Reeder- Davis Funeral Home in Hughes Springs. Mrs. Patterson was born Oct. 14, 1961 in New Orleans, La. and passed away Feb. 6, at her home. She was preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy Trammell. RICHARDS

Daingerfield -- Services for Lewellyn Richards, 94 of Daingerfield were held Feb. 7, at First Baptist Church with Bro. Scott Darby and Bro. Danny Broughton officiating. Burial followed in the Daingerfield Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Nail-Haggard Funeral Home. Lewellyn was born on Dec. 11, 1923 in Omaha to Ephriam Boyd and Zorada Colista Hultsman. She died on Sunday, Feb. 4, in Daingerfield. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Business and Professional Women Club, Pandora Study Club and the 20th Century Club. Lewellyn was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Farris Richards, brothers and sisters Mary Tucker Charlton, Nora Lee Tucker Adams, Ruth Tucker Hart, Willie Meryl Tucker, Royce Hultsman, and Fanny Lou Hultsman.

Gracelyn Travillion

HUGHES SPRINGS -- Services for Gracelyn Del Travillion were held Feb. 4, at Reeder-Davis Chapel. Burial followed at Harris Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis in Hughes Springs. Mrs. Travillion was born March 19, 1955 in Irving to Joe Eldon and Joe Evelyn Black. Del was baptized alongside her father as a young girl. She attended Seventh Day Adventist Church School in the Irving and Dallas area, before graduating from Nimitz High School. After graduation she did some modeling and worked as an apartment manager. She later moved to East Texas and decided she wanted no part of the city life. Del also worked several years at a tractor supply store and as a correctional officer. After she stopped working every day, she became a collector of antiques, off the wall items, and junk. Del was constantly losing everything but found all the joy in the world in her children and grandchildren. She lived each day to the fullest with her vibrant personality.

B. DORIS WRIGHT

Betty Doris Wright formerly of Mount Pleasant, died Thursday, Jan. 25. She was born May 22, 1932, on a farm in Daingerfield. She is preceded in death by her parents, Earl Shaddix and Nannie Huff Shaddix, multiple siblings, as well as husbands Galen Johnson and Perry Wright, and two sons Vic Johnson and Greg Johnson. She is survived by her identical twin sister, Dorothy Jones of Mount Pleasant, her son, Gary Johnson and his wife Jana of El Dorado, Ark., five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews she loved as her own. The family would like to thank National Park Medical Center for the kind and professional care given to her in her last hours. Mr. Daniel Hilton Fretwell

PITTSBURG -- Mr. Daniel Hilton Fretwell, of Daingerfield died Jan. 30 at the age of 93. Dan was born Sept. 16, 1924 in Camp County to James Martin Fretwell and Julia Daniel Fretwell. Services were held Feb. 3, at Erman Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Pittsburg, with burial following at the Fretwell Family Cemetery in Camp County.
