The Buzz

School holds fantastic events

When you are used to seeing kids at school not dressed up, it is a real treat to see them all dressed up to go out for a different caliber of banquet than they are used to.

This year between Superintendent Rick Ogden and Counselor Heather McGregor's urgings and invitation, I attended the very prestigious Hughes Springs High School Distinguished Scholar's dinner. This was held at the Mount Pleasant Country Club.

Parents and students arrived and I learned a really neat thing they do at this banquet, besides eat.
