Adler and Hearne to perform at Hughes Springs Auditorium

The Hughes Springs Public Library will sponsor
a concert by Adler and Hearne on October 27. The
concert will be held at the Hughes Springs High
School Auditorium at 6 p.m., and will be free of charge.

West Elementary celebrating Red Ribbon Week October 26-30

National Red Ribbon Week will be held the last
week of October, and elementary students in
Daingerfield will be celebrating, as well.
The National Family Partnership organized the
first Nationwide Red Ribbon Campaign. NFP
provides drug awareness by sponsoring the annual
National Red Ribbon Celebration.

Pewitt beginning Junior High Math team

Paul Pewitt Junior High students will have a new

Local schools, communities promote Breast Cancer Awareness

October brings an abundance of color to the area.
The trees, which had been covered by shades of green
for many months, begin to turn fabulous shades of
oranges, reds, yellows, and browns. Other colors
abound in October, as well, as many communities
and schools in the area become awash in a sea of
pink in honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness

Area students participate in See You at the Pole

On Wednesday, September 23, students from around the world gathered at the school flagpoles before their school day started to pray for their schools, friends, teachers, and communities. Included in those were students from around The Steel Country Bee circulation area.
