SHOEMAKER

Ted Shoemaker, 58, died on Thursday, Dec. 1. He was born July 20, 1958 in Corpus Christi to Harry Owen Shoemaker and Ellen Alyce Havemann Shoemaker. He worked in the cable TV business for 30 years and then became a truck driver for 10 years.

Ted is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Phyllis Kay Hall Shoemaker; sons: Tony (Kimberly) Smith and Bubba (Glenda) Smith; daughter Kristie Smith; and brother, Harold Scott Moody Shoemaker, of Kerrville; four grandsons and five granddaughters.

He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Gerald Owen Shoemaker.

A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 10, at the Iron Bluff Saloon in Lone Star. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to cancer research. Arrangements are under the direction of Waxahachie Funeral Home. Please sign online guestbook at www.waxahachiefuneralhome. com.

KIRKPATRICK

Services for Tammy Jo Kirkpatrick, 48 of Daingerfield were held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 23, at First Baptist Church in Cason with Bro. Scott Darby officiating. Burial followed in the Bradfield Chapel Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Nail- Haggard Funeral Home.

Tammy was born on Nov. 11, 1968 in Lone Star to James J. and Nell Scott Bruce. She died on Monday, Nov. 21, in Dallas.

Tammy attended the Assembly of God Church in Hughes Springs and was formally employed at Windsor Place Nursing Home and Greenhill Villas in Mt. Pleasant as an LVN.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

 Services for Coleman “Blue Eyes” Gene Hall were held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 22 at the First Baptist Church in Avinger. Burial followed at Pyland Cemetery, under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Hughes Springs. Mr. Coleman was born March 6, 1937.

He was a member of the Masonic Lodge Hickory Hill 156 for 50-plus years, had his Scottish Right 32nd Degree, served as a deacon for the First Baptist Church in Avinger, retired from Lone Star Steel after 43 years, was an avid gardener, loving husband, father, and grandfather.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilburn and Mary Hall; infant brother; mother and father-in law, Armond and Ruth Johnsons; and five brothers-in-law.
