Services for Beulah Irene Simpson, 88, of Hughes Springs, were held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 2, at Veal Switch Baptist Church. Burial followed at Veal Switch Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Hughes Springs.

Mrs. Simpson was born Nov. 1, 1927 and passed away Oct. 30. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Rosa Barnard; daughter, Virginia Diane Simpson; and brother, Otis Barnard.

Jesse Freeman Ayers was born in Cass County, on Aug. 12, 1936. He died on October 30, in his home, in Linden. Services were held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 3, at Caves Springs. Burial followed in the Caves Springs Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Linden.

 Services for R. C. Edwards, 93 of Lone Star were held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, Oct.26, at the Nail-Haggard Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Ben Terry officiating. Burial followed in the Iron Bluff Cemetery in Lone Star.

R. C. was born on May 12, 1923 in Bristow, Ok. to Claude and Cleo Edwards and died on Sunday, Oct. 23, in Longview.

He was a member of The Worship Center in Lone Star, veteran of the U S Army serving in World War II and Korean Conflict. R. C. was retired from Chevron as a field operator.

Services for Niki Golden Wacasey, 43, were held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 27, at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Daingerfield with Father Christian Celaya officiating. Burial followed at Woodlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Hughes Springs.

She was born July 26, 1973 in Naples and passed away Oct. 22, in Tyler. Niki was a wonderful, loving mother and grandmother who always had a big smile. She was a fabulous cook and she loved to dance. She enjoyed sunrises and sunsets, and sitting around a fire with friends. She worked as a pharmacy tech at Power’s Pharmacy for over 20 years and they were like family to her.

She was preceded in death by her father, Tommy Ray Golden; brother, Frank Allen Golden; grandparents, Joan and Frank Hopkins and Evelyn and Homer Golden.

Services for Norma “Joyce” Trice, 69, of Daingerfield were held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 30, at County Line Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Hughes Springs. Mrs. Trice was born Dec. 23, 1946 and died Oct. 26.

Services for Mr. Charles W. Smith (C.W.) were held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29, at Shady Grove Baptist Church. Burial followed at Shady Grove Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Hughes Springs. Mr. Smith was born on Jan. 12, 1929 in Cason.

Services for Ms. Birdie Jeanette Fox, 62, of Avinger were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 29 at Eagle Creek Cemetery, under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Ore City. Ms. Fox was born Feb. 24, 1954, and died Oct. 24.

Services for Ozella Ruth Evans, 79, were held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 28 at County Line Baptist Church in New Diana. Burial followed at County Line Cemetery, under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home. Ms. Ruth was born on May 13, 1937, and died Oct. 22.

Services for Ms. Fayrene Trammel, 78, of Lone Star were held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 20, at Iron Bluff Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Hughes Springs. Ms. Trammel was born Jan. 30, 1938 and died Oct. 18.

Services for Isaac L. Sowell, 63, of Ore City, were held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 22, at Cedar Springs Baptist Church in Ore City. Mr. Sowell was born June 18, 1953 and died Oct. 15.
