Jeffery Alan Seifert, 68, of Linden, formerly of Dover, PA, died Aug. 3. Mr. Seifert was born Oct. 1, 1947. Services were held at 10:00 a.m., August 10. Services for Emma Jean Lane, 90, of Linden, were held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 25 at Pine Crest Baptist Church. Burial followed in the New Prospect Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Linde. Mrs. Lane was born Feb. 14, 1926, and died Aug. 21.

A memorial service for C Y Justiss 97, of Daingerfield will be held at the Daingerfield Church of Christ on Saturday, Sept. 3, 2016 at 4:00 P.M. Services for Ms. Lena Hines, 78, of Daingerfield, were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 17, at Wallick Chapel. Burial followed at Whitmore Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Hughes Springs. Ms. Hines was born Jan. 20, 1938, and died Aug. 9.

Services for Mr. Francis “Rod” Darris, 69 of Pittsburg, were held on Saturday, Aug. 6, 2016 at Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church in Pittsburg. There was a time of fellowship immediately following the service. Mr. Darris died on July 18. Rod was born on April 27, 1947 in Jonesboro (Newport), Arkansas. Wanda Sue Key Black was born Dec. 20, 1945 in Gurdon, Ark. to Virgil and Trebia Coon Key. She left this life in the arms of her loving husband to join our Heavenly Father on Aug. 7, in Little Rock, Ark. after a courageous battle with multiple myeloma.

She married the love of her life, David Rodney Black, on April 1, 1967. They made their home and raised their three children in Hughes Springs. She dedicated her life to her family. She was a Christian and a member of First United Methodist Church of Hughes Springs. After retiring from Joe Richardson Insurance, she and David enjoyed traveling, helping others in their community, spending time with their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. They could often be found at most any Mustang sporting event or any event involving their grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her only son, David Rodney Black, Jr; her parents; mother-in-law, Ethel Wallace Black; brothers-in-law, Arthur Doddridge and Wayne Beals.

Devoted wife, beloved mother and cherished grandmother, Betty Ruth (Lancaster) Owens, age 81, passed away at her home on Monday, Aug. 8, with her family by her side. Betty was born on June 14, 1935 to Lloyd and Cleo Lancaster.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles “Markie” Owens; her parents, Lloyd and Cleo Lancaster; her brother, Larnce Lancaster; and her sisters, Merline Barton and Juanita Gunn.

Memorial services for Michael O’Neal Mathis, 75 of Lone Star were held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 13, at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church with Father Frances O’Dowd officiating.
