Gary Duane McNatt

Gary Duane McNatt, 83, of Pittsburg, formerly of Daingerfield died March 25, in Mount Pleasant. Cremation was by Rader Funeral Home in Longview. No services were held.
Mr. McNatt was born July 17, 1930, in Comanche.
He was a 1947 graduate of Naples High School and a 1951 graduate of East Texas State Teacher College in Commerce. He retired from Lone Star Steel Company in 1991 after working 37 years in the payroll department.
He was preceded in death by his son, Mark McNatt, in 2003.
Mr. McNatt is survived by his daughter, Teresa Bockman of Pittsburg; grandson and granddaughter-in-law, Jarrod and Ashley Bockman of Whitehouse; granddaughter, Hailey McNatt of Pittsburg; former wife, Doris McNatt of Pittsburg and several nieces and nephews.

Services for Ruby Childree Clay, 100, of Daingerfield will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, March 28, at the Daingerfield Church of Christ with Norman Miller and Tim Gibbs officiating. Burial will be in the Blevins Cemetery in Cason.
Arrangements are under the direction of Nail-Haggard Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Clay was born Oct, 11, 1913, in Rocky Branch to Walter and Essie Carr and died Monday, March 24, in Mount Pleasant.

Betty Dawn Perkison

Betty Dawn Perkison Weir

Weir Betty Dawn Perkison Weir, owner of Perkison Jewelry in Daingerfield, former president of the Daingerfield Chamber of Commerce, former member of the Daingerfield Economic Development Board, and respected retail merchant in the Daingerfield community, passed away peacefully in her home on March 25, in Daingerfield, at the age of 62 after a three-year battle with cancer. Born April 9, 1951, in Hope, Ark. to Truman Perkison and Muriel Kennedy Perkison, Betty Dawn graduated from Daingerfield High School and attended Stephen F. Austin University in Nacogdoches. Betty Dawn grew up working in her father’s jewelry store which has been in business in Daingerfield since 1953. Eventually, she purchased the business which has been the cornerstone of Daingerfield Main Street Commerce. She successfully ran her business, was nominated for numerous community awards and recognitions, and survived a previous battle with breast cancer; several of those years as a single mother.

Services for James Alters Brown, 75, of Pittsburg, will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, March 29, at Mount Mitchell Church of Christ with the Rev. Joe Rivers officiating. Interment will follow at Reynolds Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Hughes Springs. There will be a time of visitation from 5 until 7 Friday evening at the funeral home.
Mr. Brown was born Jan. 19, 1939, in Morris County and died March 24, at a Longview rehabilitation facility.
