Smith
Don Carlton Smith was born March 7, 1948 in Hughes Springs, to W.T. “Budo” Smith and Ludie Vaughn Smith. He departed this life to a better place on Feb. 27, in a local hospital with family and friends by his side, at the age of 65 years, 11 months and 20 days.

Black
Services for Mittie Faye Black, 94, will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, March 4, at Harris Chapel United Methodist Church. Interment will follow at Harris Chapel Cemetery, under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home of Hughes Springs. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time Tuesday at the church.
Mrs. Black was born Oct. 16, 1919, to John and Fannie Carter in Woodlawn, and died Feb. 28, in Hughes Springs.

Sutton
Services for Lorene Lavann Strutton, 63, of Linden, will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, March 3, in the chapel of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Linden with Larry Trevino officiating. Interment will follow in the Kildare Cemetery. There will be a time of visitation from 6 to 8 p.m., Sunday March 2, at the funeral home.
Mrs. Sutton was born Dec. 1, 1950, in Knox County to Riehl and Ruth Williams and died Feb. 28 at her home.

Dodson
Mary Elizebeth Dodson, 71, of Ore City, died on Feb. 26. She was born Aug.31, 1942. The family will have a private visitation Saturday, March 1, at Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Ore City. There will be no services.

Yates
Services for Sean Yates 35, of Corpus Christi, formerly of Ore City, will be Tuesday, March 4, at 2 p.m. at New Hope Baptist Church in Ore City with Tony Pierce officiating. Interment will follow at Ore City Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, March 3, at Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Ore City.
Mr. Yates was born June 23, 1978, in Shreveport, La., and died Feb. 22 in Corpus Christi.

Foster
Graveside services for Emit Ray Foster, 77, of Hughes Springs will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 27, at the Hughes Springs Cemetery. There will be a time of visitation from 6 until 7:30 Wednesday evening at Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Hughes Springs.
Mr. Foster was born June 29, 1936, and died Feb. 24.

Terrell
A memorial service for James Terrell, 67, of Waco, will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, February 25 at St.Paul’s Episcopal Church, 515 Columbus Ave., with the Rev. Dr. Michael Attas officiating. Arrangements are under the directions of Grace Gardens Funeral Home. Visitation with the family will follow at the McLennan County Courthouse Visiting Judge’s Courtroom.
Mr. Terrell was born July 3, 1946, in Henderson to James Freeman Terrell and Audrey (Deloney) Terrell and died Feb. 21.

Holland
James Mark Holland was born June 21, 1963, in Mount Pleasant, and died Feb. 23, at his home in Hughes Springs.
He is survived by two daughters and one son-in-law, Jeanie Lou and George Lindsey, and Chrystal Lynn Holland; four grandchildren, Jase, BoRay, Titan, and Heidi; one sister, Eva Lou Joyner and her sons, Charles Casey Hooper and Chase Corey Hooper; and his mother, Mildred Wood.
No services are planned at this time.

Bodwell Robert Glen Bodwell, 81, of Avinger, was buried Feb. 22 at Pruitt Lake Cemetery in Avinger. Mr. Bodwell was born Nov. 18, 1932 and died Feb. 21.

McKinney
Services for Timothy Alan McKinney, beloved husband, father, and friend, will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 23, at the Hughes Springs High School Auditorium. Interment will follow at Harris Chapel Cemetery, under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Hughes Springs. There will be a time of visitation from 5 until 8 Saturday evening at First United Methodist Church.
Timothy Alan McKinney, 47, of Hughes Springs, was born Feb, 27, 1966, and died Feb. 19. He graduated from Hughes Springs High School in 1984 and graduated Cum Laude from Stephen F. Austin State University in 1989. He married his high school sweetheart, Mechelle Collins, on Dec. 8, 1990. They were blessed with three beautiful girls and moved back to Hughes Springs in July 2006 from Argyle. He was a Methodist, a Mason, past Master of Hughes Springs Lodge # 671, member of Hella Temple Shrine, and third generation of McKinney Food Service, continuing to serve the industry since 1927.
