Services for Brenda Joy Washington, 73, of Linden, will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday March 23, at Pinecrest Baptist Church with Bryan Baggett officiating. Interment will be in the Hughes Springs Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Linden. There will be a time of visitation from 5 to 7 p.m.Saturday evening.
Mrs. Washington was born June 7, 1940, Marshall, to James Martin Hudson and Eunice Hudson, and died March 19.

Services for Mary Inda Pope Exstrom, 61, of Jefferson, will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 22, at 10:30 a.m. at Christ Episcopal Church in Jefferson. Cremations arrangements are under the direction of Haggard Funeral Home.
Mrs. Exstrom was born Nov. 13, 1952, in Tulsa, Okla., and died March 9 in Jefferson.

Services for Carroll Harris, 77, of Hughes Springs, will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, March 20, at Erman Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Pittsburg. Interment will follow at Matinburg Cemetery in Camp County.
Visitation with the family and friends will be from 5 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, March 19, at Erman Smith Funeral Home.
Mr. Harris was born July 19, 1936, in Pine to J.C. & Letha Harris, and died March 17.
He worked for Rilley Tar & Chemical in Lone Star for 39 Years. He graduated from Pittsburg High School in 1955. He was a Baptist and loved to fish.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Chuck Harris and Tommy Harris.
Survivors include his sisters, Kathryn and Jim Redmon of Pittsburg; nieces, Amber Redmon of Pittsburg; Debbie Harris of Dallas; nephew, Jimmy and Daphne Redmon of Ore City; great nieces and nephew, Taylor Redmon, Aaron and Emilee Redmon.

Services for James Stephen Karbowski, 92, will be held at the Reeder-Davis Chapel at 1:30 p.m., on Thursday, March 20, with the Rev. Gerald Irvin officiating. Interment will be in the Clark Cemetery in Jenkins.
A family visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, March 18, from 5 to 7 p.m.
A beloved father Mr. Karbowski, was called home to be with his Lord on March 15. He was born on Jan. 29, 1922, in Galveston. He attended schools in Galveston and married Doris M. Johnson in 1941.
He proudly served his country in the US Army Air Force during World War II, was a production supervisor at Union Carbide Chemical Corporation in Texas City before retiring in the Jenkins community on Lone Star Lake.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles H. and Jeannette Karbowski; his wife of 68 years, Doris; and two brothers, Karl and Otto Karbowski; and three sisters, Charlotte Solomon, Jeannette Bradford and Margaret Goode.

Services for Jo Ann Lile, 77 of Daingerfield will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, March 18, at the South Union Baptist Church with Josh Croswell officiating. Interment will be in the Clark Cemetery, under the direction of Nail-Haggard Funeral Home.
Mrs. Lile was born on Aug. 28, 1936, in Big Sandy to Joseph and Maggie White, and died on March 15, in Hughes Springs.
She was a member of South Union Baptist Church where she sang in the choir. She graduated from Daingerfield High School, worked for Lone Star Steel and was a bookkeeper for White’s Service Station. She was a member of the Eastern Star.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Travis White.
Survivors include her husband, Bill Lile of Daingerfield; son, Paul Lile of Ft. Worth; daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Gregg Mars of Longview; grandsons, Joey Mars and Jason Mars both of Longview; and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Peters was born Dec. 8, 1958, to Henry S. and Eddie (Curlie) D. Anderson Peters and died March 3.

John Stanley Shepperd

Memorial services for John Stanley Shepperd, 70, of Pryor, Okla., will be held at 3 p.m., Sunday, March 23 at the Gladewater Former Students Association Building, at 2509 Hendricks in Gladewater. Mr. Shepperd was born in Gladewater on Sept. 17, 1943, and died Feb. 28 in Tulsa, Okla.
Mr. Shepperd graduated from Gladewater High School in 1962. He served as president of his senior class and was a member of the Gladewater High School Choir, basketball team and football team. He earned an associate’s degree from Kilgore Junior College several years later. Many years later, he attended Floyd Junior College in Rome, Ga., to acquire computer skills needed in his profession. He enjoyed helping fellow employees master these same skills.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and in his words, ‘making sawdust and boards.’ He loved nature and enjoyed watching and feeding squirrels and birds. Above all, he was devoted to his family.

Services for Ravle McMichael, 95 of Fairview, formerly of Daingerfield, will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, March 13, at the Nail-Haggard Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Leon McDowell officiating. Interment will be in the Daingerfield Cemetery.
Mrs. McMichael was born on Nov. 1, 1918, in Commerce to the Rev. Clifton and Maude Mills. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and a homemaker.
Mrs. McMichael was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 60 years, Gerald Bates McMichael; sisters and brothers, Lacy Mills, Edith Mills, Jesse Mills and Clifton Mills Jr.; and granddaughter, Tamra McGraw.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Jeri and Jerry McGraw of Fairview; sister-in-law, Wanda Mills of Naples; grandson, Michael and Stacey McGraw of Allen; great-granddaughters, Leah, Claire and Anna McGraw all of Allen; several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Hollins was born April 9, 1930 to Dovie and Henry Hollins and died March 6.
