Strickland

Chapman
Services for Faye Mars Chapman, 96, of Daingerfield will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, Jan. 17, at the Daingerfield Church of Christ. Interment will be in the Daingerfield Cemetery under the direction of Nail-Haggard Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Chapman was born July 8, 1917, in Rocky Branch to Walter and Essie Carr, and died on Jan. 14 in Hughes Springs.
She was a member of the Daingerfield Church of Christ and a retired nurse’s aid.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands Berry Mars and J. W. Chapman; grandson, Jeff Laney; two brothers, Jimmy Carr and Merrill Carr; and one sister, Ora Green.

Bearden
A memorial service for James Edward Bearden, 60, of Hughes Springs, will be held at a later date. Mr. Bearden was born March 27, 1953, in Longview and died Jan. 11 at his home in Hughes Springs.

Kennedy

Services for Ola Mae Kennedy, 95, of Longview, will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 15, at the Longview Missionary Baptist Church where she is a member.  The Rev. Tony Harp and the Rev. Nathan Rogers will be officiating. Interment will follow in the Union Hill Cemetery in Cass County. Arrangements are under the direction of Rader Funeral Home in Longview.

The family will greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 14, at the funeral home.

She was born Aug.12, 1918, in Morris County to Walter and Arrie Cox, and died Jan. 11. She had lived in Longview since 1967.

Mrs. Kennedy was preceded in death by her loving husband of 68 years, the Rev. O. L. Kennedy and son, Robert Earl Kennedy; her mother and father; and two brothers.

Jones
Services for L.C. Jones, 80, of Daingerfield, will be held at noon Tuesday, Jan. 14, at the Church on the Rock in Daingerfield with Randy Seybert officiating.
Mr. Jones was born June 30, 1933, in Cass County and died Jan. 10, in Longview.

Carwile
Services for Wanda Ruth Carwile, 75,of Jefferson, will be held Monday, Jan. 13 at 10 a.m. at Shiloh Methodist Church. Interment will follow at Shiloh Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home of Linden.
Mrs. Carwile was born July 18, 1938, and died Jan. 9.

Payne Services for Virginia Payne, 90 of Lone Star will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 13, at Daingerfield Church of Christ with Tim Gibbs and Norman Miller officiating. Interment will be in Iron Bluff Cemetery in Lone Star. The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 12, at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Nail-Haggard Funeral Home. Mrs. Payne was born Aug. 21, 1923, in Campbell County, Tenn. to Russell and Chloe Barnes and died Jan. 9, in Longview. She was a member of the Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, S.L. Payne; and her parents. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Pam and Jackie Lee of Lone Star; son and daughter-in-law, Pat and Dana Payne of Fort Collins, Colo.; five grand- children, Russell Payne of St. Augustine, Fla., Andy Payne of Los Angeles, Calif., Angela Mays of Daingerfield, Amanda Spiess of Longview, and Eric Miller of Fort Collins; and six great-grandchildren.

Seery
Services for Keith Allen Seery, 32, of Linden, will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, Jan. 13, in the chapel of Reeder-Davis Funeral home with Todd Elliott officiating. Interment will follow at Wells Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home of Linden. There will be a time of visitation from 6 to 8 p.m., Sunday at the funeral home.
Mr. Seery was born Feb. 19,1981, in Houston to Donald Seery and Toni Stukins Jones, and died Jan. 6, in an Ohio hospital.
