Services for John Rowan “Possum” Hall, 88, of Ore City, will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, May 28, at Hughes Springs Church of Christ with Johnnie Coleman officiating. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Hughes Springs. There will be a time of visitation from 6 until 8 Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
Mr. Hall was born July 15, 1925, and died May 25, at Theron Grainger Nursing Home. He married the love of his life, Kathleen, in 1959. He worked for General Dynamics for 30 years before the company closed. He then went to work for his brother-in-law as a construction worker until he retired. His favorite pastimes consisted of camping, fishing and working in his garden. He was a quiet man, so when he said something, everybody listened.

Graveside services for Harold Preston Biddy, 77, of Hughes Springs, will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 28, at Hughes Springs Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Hughes Springs, with Dennis O’Keefe officiating.
Harold was born Aug. 5, 1936, and died May 23. He was a proud steel man and union member. He worked at Lone Star Steel for 30 years as a first helper. He was a veteran of the US Army where he served as a chef while he was stationed at Ft. Ord, Calif. He was a praying cowboy who loved his horses and cattle.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Jo Penecost Biddy; and one daughter, Dana Jean Biddy.

There will be a time of visitation from 6-8 p.m. Friday at Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Ore City.
Mrs. Floyd was born March 5, 1942, and died May 20.

Funeral services for Mrs. Juanita Tittle, 85, of Hughes Springs, will be 2 p.m., Friday, May 23, at Reeder-Davis Chapel with Bishop Steve Christian officiating. Burial will follow at Blevins Cemetery in Cason, under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Hughes Springs. There will be a time of visitation an hour prior to the service. Mrs. Tittle was born Jan. 7, 1929, in New Boston and died May 21, in Hughes Springs. Juanita was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Mount Pleasant and she was retired from the U. S. Postal Service. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Allen Tittle; father and step-mother Pharris and Joyce Terrell; mother and step-father, Ruby and Vance Hooton; a brother, Curtis Terrell; and half-brother, Linson Terrell.

Michael Rex Walker

Walker Michael Rex Walker’s funeral was held on May 10, at 10 a.m. under the direction of Nail Haggard Funeral Home in Daingerfield. Pallbearers were Michael Hayes, Brandon Neuville, Bobby Neuville, James (Boo) Whelchel, Freddie Leo McNeil and Ira Tossey. Burial was in Ebenezer Cemetery in Pittsburg. Bro. John Raney and Bro. Bill Baxter officiated. Michael Rex Walker was born Oct. 23, 1943, in Daingerfield to Sterritt (S.G.) Walker and Ada (Goss) Walker. Michael Rex Walker died May 8, at the Shreveport V.A. Hospital in Shreveport, La. He was 70 years old. The last 12 years of his life he spent married to his childhood friend and wife, Betty Jean Walker. They did some traveling. He was a disabled veteran (service-connected) throughout their marriage. His health began to affect in October 2011. He had a stroke in November 2012. Betty Jean took care of him at home as well as holding down her job at Titus County Courthouse where she’s been employed for 19 years.

Mrs. Grant was born Aug. 9, 1928, and died May 8, 2014, after a long illness. She was preceded in death by her father, William Chick; her mother, Della Chick; her husband, Herbert Grant; and her brother, John Chick.

Glen “Bud” Gibson, 78, of Texarkana and formerly of Daingerfield, will be held at 3 p.m. on Thursday, May 15, at the chapel of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Hughes Springs. Interment will follow at Clark Cemetery in Daingerfield, under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home of Hughes Springs. There will be a time of visitation with the family from 1 p.m. until service time Thursday at the funeral home.
Mr. Gibson served in the U.S. Air Force. He retired from PMC in Hughes Springs, and was an Electrician. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Barbara Lynne Gibson-Barnard; grandson, Bobby Glen Barnard; parents, brothers and sisters.
Bud is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Wallace Gibson; daughter, Glenna Gibson Roberts; granddaughter; Veronica Kay Roberts; two great-granddaughters: Lyndyn and Kaylyn; two sisters: Mary Louise Huggins and Joyce Boykin; brother-in-law, Leo Wallace; several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
