February 17 The Secrets Codes of the Underground Railroad

The Pleasant Hill Quilting Club presents “The Secrets Codes of the Underground Railroad,” on Feb. 17 at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. The event will be held at the Legacy an Event Center, and will be free of charge. The public is invited to attend. For additional information, call 903-639-1095.

There will be an Open House and Ribbon Cutting at Doug Reeder Law Firm, located on Highway 259 in Daingerfield from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. The Ribbon Cutting will take place at 12 p.m., and the Open House will be Come and Go, with refreshments served.

The Daingerfield Lone Star Educational Foundation will host the 2016 Champion Spelling Bee on Jan. 29 at the Daingerfield High School Cafeteria. Jan 21 Parent Meeting The Northeast Texas Coalition Against Substance Abuse will be hosting an informational parent meeting at Daingerfield High School on the dangers of underage drinking and ways to combat the problem in Daingerfield. The meeting will begin at 6 p.m. in the cafeteria.

Jan 24 Guest Preacher The Next Level Church in Daingerfield will host a guest preacher, Reverend Jonathan Elms in both services. The morning service will begin at 10 a.m., and the evening service will begin at 6 p.m.

Jan 23 Coat and Clothing Distribution The Webelos of Daingerfield Pack #220 Cub Scouts has collected both coats and clothing for those in need.
