Mr. and Mrs. Dearl Quarles of Daingerfield would like to announce the engagement of their daughter, Amber Leigh Quarles, to Sal Charles Costa. The prospective groom is the son of Salvadore and Josephine Costa of Beaumont. The wedding will take place at Agave Road in Katy on Aug. 16.
Visitors to the Daingerfield State Park last month, were Sharon Snowdy with her dog, Wiley, and Mercedes Meier, back left, and her daughter, Megan Meier. Ms. Snowdy is from New Orleans and met her friends from Dallas at the park. The Meiers said they have camped at the park for many years, enjoying the getaway from Dallas.
An East Texas woman, formerly of Daingerfield, has just released new book ‘Tied in a Bow.’ Satoya Smith is a 2001 graduate of Daingerfield High School.
