HANKS

Gloria May Edge Hanks died Saturday, March 26. She was born Feb. 20, 1952. Services were held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 31, at New Heights Church of God in Longview, Texas. Graveside services were held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 1, at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Orange, under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Ore City.

GRIFFIN

William (Bill) Barton was born Dec. 28, 1942 and died March 31, at his home in Lone Star. Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 3, at Veal Switch Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Hughes Springs Cemetery.

PRIMEAUX

Bridget Renee Primeaux, 52, of Linden died March 30. Mrs. Primeaux was born June 14, 1963 in Shreveport, Louisiana. Services were held at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, April 2, in the Chapel of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Linden with Bro. Bryan Baggett officiating. Burial was held at 10:00 a.m., Sunday April 3, at Linden Cemetery, under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Linden.

DAILY

Lori Daily, 48 of Daingerfield, was born Nov. 2, 1967 and passed away March 20. Lori graduated from Paul Pewitt High School in 1985 and was a member of Church on the Rock. She was a dedicated nurse, traveling all over the U.S. for over 20 years. She was always willing to help anyone in need.

Lori was preceded in death by her father, James Leroy Weers.

She is survived by one daughter, Tara Ann Daily; mother and step-father, Val and Bruce Thomsen; sister, Angel Weers and fiance Rodney Barnett of Daingerfield; step-mother, Sara Weers; aunts, Wilma Stringer of Bryans Mill, Sherry Bell and husband Kelly of Idaho; niece, Karma Weers.

Services for Ms. Daily were held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 2, at the Church of Rock in Daingerfield.

MOORE

 John Hoffman “Johnny” Moore, Jr. was born in a farm house on the Moore family home place 15 miles north of Mt. Vernon, Franklin County, Texas on Nov. 15, 1933, being the third son of Mary Clifton and John Hoffman Moore. He lived a full life of almost 83 years, mostly in East Texas and departed this life to be with his Lord and Savior the early morning hours of Easter Sunday, March 27, at Good Shepherd Hospital in Longview, after a long and hard fought battle with cancer. Johnny was preceded in death by his parents, a sister-in-law, Judy Williams Moore, and a great-nephew, Jared Malone Alsobrook.

Services for Mr. Joezell Rushing, 82 of Lone Star, were held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, March 26, at the Junior High School in Jefferson. Burial followed at Woodlawn Memorial Park, under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Hughes Springs. Mr. Rushing was born Aug. 26, 1933 and died March 20.

Willie James “Bob” Rodgers was born Feb. 9, 1948 in Omaha, and died on March 23. Service for Mr. Rodgers were held at 12:00 p.m., Saturday, March 26, at Mount Mitchell Church of Christ. Burial followed at Reynolds Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Hughes Springs.

Services for Nathaniel Smith, 86 of Avinger, were held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 26, at the Junior High School in Jefferson. Burial followed at Pyland Cemetery in Avinger, under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral home in Hughes Springs. Mr. Smith was born April 28, 1929 and passed away March 18.

BROUSSARD

Funeral services for Roy Broussard, 84 of Daingerfield, were held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday March 24, at the First Baptist Church with Bro. Don Ross and Bro. Rey Cuellar officiating. Burial followed in the Clark Cemetery. Arrangements under the direction of Nail-Haggard Funeral Home.

Mr. Broussard passed away on Monday, March 21, in Longview, Texas. He was born in Abbeville, Louisiana on August 26, 1931 to the late Sidney Broussard and Agnes Vaughn Broussard. After graduation from Abbeville High School, he joined the Air Force during the Korean War where he served 4 years.

WOOD

Funeral services for M. L. Wood 92, of Daingerfield were held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, March 28, at the Daingerfield Church of Christ with Tim Gibbs officiating. Burial followed in Clark Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Nail-Haggard Funeral Home.

M.L. was born on Aug 27, 1923 in Seymour, Texas to Mattison Lee and Leatha Earl Wood. He died on March 24, in Pittsburg. M.L. was a member of Daingerfield Church of Christ. He was preceeded in death by his parents, 2 children, Mildred Jean Kaatz and Marion Lee Wood; 3 brothers, 5 sisters and 1 great grandchild.

Survived by the love of his life of 71 years Doris R- Jean Coley Wood of Daingerfield, Daughter Charlotte Earline Anderson and husband Edward of Daingerfield, Sons Manley Leon Wood and James Neal Wood; Sister Neva Nell Carrigan and husband Harold of Odessa, Texas, 9 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.
