Memorial services for Donald George Ziegler, 87 of Daingerfield were held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 24, at Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church in Pittsburg with Bro. David Kizer officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Hartford Memorial Gardens in Aberdeen, Maryland.

Don was a member of Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church in Pittsburg and was retired from the U S Army.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Marcalene Pilgrim of Daingerfield; daughters Mary Louise Wilmoth of Street, Maryland and Debra Diane Durazzo of BelAire, Maryland; son Mark Bradford Ziegler of Lawton, Oklahom; sisters Shirley Lundquest of Peoria, Illinois And Joyce Kaecker of Dixon, Illinois; 8 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Graveside services for Sallie L. Kennamer, 78 of Daingerfield were held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, Feb. 24, at Salem Cemetery in Bloomburg with Bro. Matthew Carpenter officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Nail-Haggard Funeral Home. Sallie was born Dec. 23, 1937 and died on Feb. 19.

Avinger were held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 20, at
Reeder-Davis Chapel. Burial followed at Webb Cemetery
under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in
Hughes Springs. Ms. Ward was born Sept. 7, 1928 and
died Feb. 15.

Billy Wayne Partain, 80, of Linden died Feb. 18. Mr.
Partain was born Feb. 23, 1935 in Atlanta, to Travis
Partain and Gladys Warren. Services were held at 2:00

Bro. Bryan Baggett officiating. Services were under the
direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Linden.

Nellie Louise Smyres, 91, of Avinger died Feb. 16. Mrs.
Smyres was born March 11, 1924 in Comanche County.
Services were held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 20, in the
Chapel of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Linden. Burial
followed in the Bear Creek Cemetery under the direction
of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Linden.

Mary Elizabeth Breazeale Spurlin passed away on Feb. 12, in Atlanta, at Christus St. Michael Hospital. Ms. Spurlin was 84 years old. She was born on Dec. 17, 1931 in Marshall, to Maude Manning and Altha Muntz Breazeale.

Funeral services for Betty Lee Hagood, 84 of Daingerfield were held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 20, at the First Baptist Church in Cason with Kenny Shaver and Bro. Scott Darby officiating. Burial followed in the Clark Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Nail-Haggard Funeral Home.

Betty was born on Feb. 22, 1931 in Morris County to William Edward and Alma Lee Clay. She died on Wednesday, Feb. 17, in Jenkins.

Betty was a member of the Lilley’s Chapel Church of Christ and retired from Longhorn Army Ammunition Plant.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Oscar Hagood, brothers Charles Edward Clay, Jimmy Fred Clay and sister Ruby Hensley.

PONDER

Avery Grace Ponder was born Jan. 6, 2006 and was granted her angel wings on Feb. 14, at Cook’s Children’s Hospital in Fort Worth. We will miss her greatly and our hearts are broken. We are so blessed that God chose us to be her parents. Ten years is not long enough, but Avery has touched so many hearts, shared so much love, and given us the absolute best days of our lives in her time with us.

She was preceded in death by her great-grandparents, Charles and Dolly Wallace and Cliff and Vela Hays; aunt, Barbara Chesson; uncle, Preston Holland; and cousin, Clary Chesson.

CONNOR

Services for O. B. Connor, 90 of Daingerfield were held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 21, at the First Baptist Church in Daingerfield with Bro. Don Ross officiating. Burial followed in Daingerfield Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Nail-Haggard Funeral Home.

O. B. was born Sept. 10, 1925 to Willie and Julia Connor and died on Feb. 18. He was the first of three sons after four daughters. He served his country in the Navy during World War II. On Jan. 3, 1948 he married the love of his life, Betty Sue Whitecotton. He started work at Lone Star Steel Jan. 6, 1948 and retired 38 years later.

He is preceded in death by his parents, 4 sisters and two brothers.

MARSH

Mrs. Daisy P. Marsh, a beloved and faithful servant, went to be with the Lord on Feb. 9. Daisy was born April 23, 1934 in Decatur, Texas and passed away Feb. 9.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Howley A. Marsh.

She is survived by three daughters, Shela Meadows and husband William, Teresa Marsh, and Melanie Marsh; two sons, Marvin Marsh and Daniel Marsh; five grandchildren, Stephen Marsh, Jonathan Marsh, Vircie Meadows, Cody Meadows, and Tabatha Jennings; two great-grandchildren, Bryce Meadows and Linzy Walker ; one brother, Walter Hollis; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Services for Mrs. Marsh were held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 13, at Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Bro. John Lawson officiating. Burial followed at Clark Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Hughes Springs.
