Services for Estelle Phillips Strange, 92, of Daingerfield were held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 7, at Veal Switch Baptist Church with Bro. Paul Denny and Bro. Butch Ship officiating. Burial followed at Veal Switch Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Hughes Springs. Mrs. Strange was born Jan. 28, 1924 and passed away Feb. 3.

Services for Lillie Mae Smith, 82 of Avinger, were held
at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 6, at the Jefferson Middle
School in Jefferson. Burial followed at the Pyland
Cemetery, under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral
Home in Hughes Springs. Mrs. Smith was born March 9,
1933 and died February 1.

Mr. Henry Lee Peters was born July 19, 1920 in
Daingerfield, and died Jan. 30. Services for Mr. Peters, 95
were held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 6, 2016 at Reeder-
Davis Chapel. Burial followed at Shady Grove Cemetery
under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in
Hughes Springs.

Carolyn Sue Chism was born April 8, 1953 and died
Sunday, Jan. 24, in Atlanta, Georgia. Services were held
at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 6, at Mount Moriah Baptist
Church in Avinger. Burial followed at Mount Moriah
Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral
Home in Hughes Springs.

Services for Mr. John Tatum were held at 1:00 p.m.
Saturday, Jan. 30 at Reeder-Davis Funeral Home Chapel
in Ore City. Mr. Tatum was born Feb. 28, 1932 and died
Jan. 25.

Gwen Dale Bradley, Sr. was born July 27, 1923 in Hughes Springs, Texas to Daniel Olin and Lena Maybelle Bradley. He was the oldest of five children. He received Christ in 1935 at age 12 and was baptized at Crossroads Baptist Church in Arkansas. Dale married Jamie Carolyn Beavers Davis in July 1982. Mr. Bradley was a WWII veteran serving in the Navy on the U.S.S. Vicksburg, Seaman 2nd Class in charge of the machine shop.

He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and was elevated to Master Mason in 1957 at Odessa Lodge #955. He moved his membership to Park Place, Houston and is currently with Bedias Lodge in Bedias, Texas. In 2007 he received his certificate for 50 years of service. He owned Bradco in Humble, TX.; worked at C & A Machine in Houston for 10 years; owned Meither Machine; worked for Shell & Ethel Oil; and his last job was as owner of Accurate Machine in Magnolia, Texas.

Troy Buck was born Dec. 17, 1944 and died Jan. 25. Services for Mr. Buck were held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2016 at Hughes Springs Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Hughes Springs.

David Earl Hamilton of Dallas died on Jan. 16, at the age of 61. He was born on Aug. 14, 1954. Graveside services were held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, Jan. 29, in the Linden Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Linden.

Graveside services for Bertha Erma Pierce 104, of
Daingerfield were held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 30, at
the Daingerfield Cemetery with Bro. Scott Darby officiating.
Arrangements were under the direction of Nail-
Haggard Funeral Home.
Bertha was born on Aug. 23, 1911 in Rockwall County
and died Jan. 28, in Daingerfield.

Services for Richard A. Taylor, 66 of Ore City, were held on Saturday, January 30, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Ore City. Richard died on Dec. 29, 2015 at his home. He was born Nov. 24, 1949.
