Funeral services for Earnest Landreth, 92 of Paris were held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 12, at the Nail-Haggard Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Bryan Peck officiating. Burial was in the Bradfield Chapel Cemetery. Earnest was born on March 6, 1923 in Grant, Oklahoma To Lige and Jenny Landreth and died on Friday, Jan. 8. He was a handyman. Preceded in death by his parents, sons Daryl, Eddie and Randy Landreth, daughter Nellie Davis, brothers Clyde, Dewey, George, Bert and Johnny Landreth and sisters Maggie Watson and Mary Dean. Survived by his daughters Carolyn Sue Andreas of Daingerfield, Janet Juarez of Ft. Worth, Teresa Smith of Avoca, and Nancy Landreth of Ft. Worth; sons Roger Landreth of Alvarado and Ricky Landreth of Huntsville; 19 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren and 21 great great grandchildren.

Memorial services for O G “Jim” Stanley, 77 of Daingerfield, will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, Jan. 14, at the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Dan Gilliam and Bro. Scott Darby officiating. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. Jim was born on Jan. 8, 1939 to Levi Abraham and Lorene Brock Stanley in Fort Francis E. Warren Military Base in Cheyenne, WY. and died on his birthday Jan. 8, in Daingerfield. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, graduated from Daingerfield High School, Steven F. Austin University and Baylor School of Law and was a member of the State Bar Associations of Texas and Colorado. Jim was a former District Attorney for Morris County, a Municipal Judge in Colorado and served as President of the Colorado Municipal Judges Association. Jim was preceded in death by his parents and sister Gaynelle Stanley Smith.

Funeral services for Betty Elaine Lovelady, 68 of
Daingerfield were held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 5,
2016 at Cedar Springs Baptist Church in Ore City with
Bro. James Hensley officiating. Burial followed in the
Clark Cemetery. Arrangements under the direction of
Nail-Haggard Funeral Home. Betty was born on April 6,
1947 in Talladega, Alabama and died on Friday, Jan. 1,
in Daingerfield.

Veronica Catherine Campion Griffin, 91 of Naples, passed away Dec. 26. She was born Jan. 7, 1924. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 30, at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Daingerfield. Burial followed at Union Chapel Cemetery, under the direction of Harrison Funeral Home in Naples.

Melba Glass Merrill, of Hughes Springs, passed away Saturday, Jan. 2, at 69 years of age. She was born May 11, 1946 in Houston, Texas to Albert and Gloria Glass.

Services for Robert O. Woodson, 40, of Houston will
be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 9 at First Baptist Church in
Cason. Burial will follow at Whitmore Cemetery under
the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Hughes
Springs. There will be a time of visitation from 5 until 7
Friday evening at the funeral home.
Mr. Woodson was born Nov. 19, 1975 in Lone Star
and passed away Jan. 1 in Houston. He is survived by his
wife, Tonya S. Woodson; and one son, Gavin O.
Woodson.

Charles David Jolly, 71, of Kildare passed away Monday Dec. 28. Mr. Jolly was born July 4, 1944. Services will be at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 31, at the First Baptist Church in Kildare. Burial will follow in the Kildare Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Linden.

Bobbie Jo Cates, 88, of Linden passed away Sunday, Dec. 20. Mrs. Cates was born Aug. 28, 1927. Services were held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 23, at the First Baptist Church in Linden. Burial followed in the Linden Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Linden.

Services for Joby Witt, 83, of Gilmer, were held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 20, at Hughes Springs Cemetery. Services were under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Hughes Springs. Mr. Witt was born May 22, 1932 in Hughes Springs and passed away Dec. 13.

Evalyn L. Richie, 77, of Ore City, passed away Tuesday,
Dec. 15. Graveside services were held at 10:00 a.m.,
Monday Dec. 21, at Ashland Cemetery in Diana, TX,
under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in
Ore City.
