John Perry “JP” Allen, 87, of Linden passed away Monday, October 12. Mr. Allen was born November 20,
1927 in Dallas. Services will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 14, at Harris Chapel Cemetery under the direction
of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Linden.

Paul Webster passed away October 14 in Linden from lung cancer following a lifetime of smoking. He was 70.
Paul was born July 14, 1945 in Linden to Carl and Louise Webster. Services were held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday,
October 17, at the First Baptist Church in Linden. Burial followed at the Bear Creek Cemetery under the direction
of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Linden. An online guestbook can be signed at

Joseph Michael Deshotel was born January 4, 1953 and passed away October 8. Rosary was held from 2:00 until
3:00 p.m. in the Chapel at Reeder-Davis in Ore City, followed immediately by graveside services at Ore City
Cemetery. Services were under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Ore City.

Graveside services for Myron Chandler Brown, 91, of Mt. Pleasant, Texas were held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday,
October 14, at Our Lady of the Pines Cemetery in Daingerfield. Arrangements were under the direction of
Nail-Haggard Funeral Home. Myron was born on July 28, 1924 in West Bend, Iowa
to Iver and Fannie Fern Williams Brown and passed away October 12 in Mt. Pleasant.

Carolyn Dyas, a resident of Daingerfield, Texas died on October 2, at Titus Memorial Hospital after a long
battle with heart disease.
Born on October 25, 1932 in Cason, Texas, Carolyn was the oldest child of Thomas and Beatrice Minter.
Thomas Minter was a teacher and principal in the Daingerfield School District and Carolyn followed in
her father’s steps in the field of education. Carolyn attended Stephen F Austin State University in
Nacogdoches, and earned degrees in special education, speech therapy and counseling. She worked in
both the Daingerfield and Mt. Pleasant School districts in those fields. Carolyn was a life time member
of the Cason Baptist Church and was active in the Business and Professional Women’s Association and
the P.E.O. of Daingerfield.
Carolyn will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She is survived by sons Gary Dyas of

Williams, 36 of Mt. Pleasant were held at 2:00 p.m.
Sunday, October 4, at First Baptist Church in Cason
with Bro. Scott Darby officiating. Arrangements were
under the direction of Nail-Haggard Funeral Home.
Candi was born on October 25, 1978 in Mt. Pleasant
and died on September 30, in Mt. Pleasant.

James Donald “JD” Perdue, 72, of Hughes Springs,
passed away on the afternoon of September 30, after a
brief illness. Don was born in Winnfield, Louisiana
and lived most of his life in Shreveport, Louisiana.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.

Services for Ivis Jeanette Eggar of Avinger, 78, were held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 3, at First Baptist
Church in Avinger. Burial followed at Avinger Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis
Funeral Home in Hughes Springs. Mrs. Eggar was born May 30, 1937 and passed away September 28.

Eddie Michael “Mike” Burton, Sr. was born July 4, 1949 in Chillocthe, Ohio and passed away September
24. Services for Mr. Burton will be held at a later date in Chillicothe, Ohio.

Paul Edgar VanDeBogart, 72 of Daingerfield was born on April 19, 1943 in Schanectady, New York and
died on Monday, September 21, in Daingerfield. There will be no services at this time. Arrangements
are under the direction of Nail-Haggard Funeral Home.
