Services for Anita Carolyn Lee, 79 of Daingerfield, were held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 13, at the South Union Baptist Church with Bro. Chad Thompson officiating. Anita was born on Feb. 4, 1937 in Ashdown, Arkansas to Maud Louisa and Era Lara Davis. She died on Monday, Feb. 8, in Texarkana. Anita was a member of South Union Baptist Church and retired from Daingerfield-Lone Star ISD as a teacher’s aide.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Lyman Edward Davis, Royce Elmer Davis, William Albert “Billy” Davis, Steadman Donald “Cooter” Davis, Maud Louisa “M L” Davis, Jr, her sisters: Alice Elizabeth Walraven, Eunice Lara Wilson, Mary Etta Needham, and grandson Joshua Andrew Lee.

Wilma Jean Walker, 80, of Linden died Thursday, Feb. 11. Ms. Walker was born Sept. 15, 1935 in Cass County to Charles Love Henderson and Mattie Lee Henderson. Wilma was a homemaker, volunteered at Linden Hospital for 10 years, was a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church where she was church clerk for 25 years.

Survivors include one daughter, Cheryl Walker of Linden, TX; one son, Charles Walker of Daingerfield; three granddaughters, Jennifer Golightly of Lodi, Lacy McMillon of Redlick, and Amber Walker of Daingerfield; one grandson, Daniel Walker of Daingerfield; nine great-grandchildren, Kaitlin, Dorcey, Emma, Lanie, Anistyn, Rachael, Jonah, Cole, Cass and many friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Mattie Henderson; her husband, Thomas Benson Walker; two sisters, Addie May Walker and Jeanette Counts; and a great-grandson, Joshua Walker.

Services for Betty Demetri, 84 of Pickton, were held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 16, at the First Baptist Church in Cason. Burial followed at Blevins Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis funeral home in Hughes Springs. Ms. Demetri was born July 21, 1929 and died Feb. 12.

Services for Ms. Harlan Ferguson, of Daingerfield, were held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 17, at Church on the Rock. Burial followed at Woodlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Hughes Springs. Ms. Ferguson was born July 27, 1923 in Hancock County, Tennessee and died Feb.11, at a Mount Pleasant health care facility.

Services for Derrick Rockwell, 37 of Ore City were
held Saturday, Feb. 13, at 1:00 p.m. at the Murry League
Baptist Church in Ore City. Burial followed at the Cedar
Grove Cemetery, under the direction of the Reeder-
Davis Funeral Home in Ore City. Derrick was born Sept.
23, 1978, and died Sunday, Feb. 7.

Services for Sister Ruby Spraglin were held at 1:00 p.m.
Monday, Feb. 15, at Shady Grove Baptist Church. Burial
followed at Shady Grove Cemetery under the direction
of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Hughes Springs. Sister
Spraglin was born Sept. 7, 1933, and died on Feb. 9.

Services for James Bell, 79 of Ore City, were held at 11:00
a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 16, at Reeder-Davis Funeral Home
Chapel in Ore City. Burial followed at Coffeeville
Cemetery, under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral
Home in Ore City. Mr. Bell was born Aug. 15, 1936 in
Frenchlick, California and passed away Feb. 12, in Ore City.

Services for Shane Browning, 45 of Avinger, were held
at 11:00 a.m. Monday, Feb. 15, at Reeder-Davis Chapel.
Burial followed at County Line Cemetery under the
direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Hughes
Springs. Mr. Browning was born Dec. 21, 1970 and died
Feb. 12.

Graveside Service for Lorene Veasley 56 of Longview, were held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday Feb. 07, at Union Chapel Cemetery in Pittsburg, under the direction of Reeder- Davis Funeral Home in Ore City. Miss Veasley was born Sept. 19, 1959 and died Feb. 1.
