It was less than two years ago that I wrote a column about Ralph Kimberley and told about he and others holding court at Café’ Octane and discussing the problems of the city, school, and of the world in general. It was with much sadness that I learned of Ralph’s passing last Friday morning. I immediately thought back to the many times I had seen Ralph in the community and discussions that I had with him about various subjects.
Ralph loved to talk; well, in saying that, he loved to debate things. He loved to challenge people. I do believe he challenged me not only to write better stories, but to be a better person. He would make a person think about the impact they had on their community.
