Alpha Dannelley with 25 years; Geneva Williams with 29 years; Mary Hill with 34 years; and Synthia Parker with 38 years.
Groundbreaking ceremonies were held at the Cajun Cowboy Motel and Retreat in Omaha on Highways 259 and 67.

The Featured Business of the Avinger Area Chamber of Commerce is Harris Mercantile & Trading Company, the little store with the large inventory on the west side of Main Street downtown in downtown Avinger. This business is one of the most historical in Avinger. It has housed different businesses and in various locations on Main Street. The additional space to the inside as well as the garden space outside and convenient hours keep the store busy with local customers as well as visitors to Avinger.

Individuals who operate a cottage food business in Texas are required to complete an accredited food-handler course, said a Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service expert.
