Cass County Jail Log

Cass County Jail officials report the following individuals were booked into the facility June 1-15.
 
John Michael Baker Jr., 25, of Bivins, burglary of a habitation.
 
Shelby Lee Beshea, 22, of Atlanta, assault causing bodily injury-family violence.
 
Jenny Rae Boudreaux, 37, of Gilmer, driving while intoxicated, failure to maintain financial responsibility, driving while license suspended and failure to appear.
 
Frank Edward Bowen, 45, of Atlanta, fugitive from justice/probation violation.
 
Terrance Vancordes Bradley, 38, of Texarkana, bond forfeiture for possession of marijuana less than two ounces.
 
Natasha Lynn Clark, 33, of Atlanta, driving while license invalid.

One-vehicle rollover sends one to hospital

A Daingerfield woman was transported by ambulance to Titus Regional Medical Center in Mount Pleasant on July 2 after a roll-over accident,according to Departmentof Public Safety Trooper Sylvia Jennings.

Woman injured after vehicle hit by a deer

A Naples woman was injured in a one-vehicle accident July 1, when a deer ran into the side of her vehicle, according to Texas Department of  Public Safety Trooper Raymond Haley. The accident occurred on Highway 259 approximately five miles north of Daingerfield.

Cass County deaths of man and 12-year-old remain under investigation sheriff says

A 13-year-old has been placed in a juvenile detention facility while the investigation continues on a double homicide that occurred in Cass County on June 27, according to Cass County Sheriff Larry Rowe.

Poole pleads guilty to driving while intoxicated

Shannon Michele Poole, 52, of Avinger, pled guilty June 27, in the 115th Judicial District Court in Upshur County to driving while intoxicated with subsequent offense, a third degree felony, according to Upshur County District Attorney Billy W. Byrd.

Lone Star City Council to offer incentives to Champion Emergency Medical Services

Lone Star City Council unanimously voted to offerrent and utility payments for the ambulance service to stay stationed in the city of Lone Star. The decision was made at its July 1 city council meeting.
