Cub Scouts recognize National Peace Officers day

Police Academy accepting applications for enrollment

The Northeast Police Academy at Northeast Texas Community College is now accepting applications for both day and evening academy options that begin this fall. Both programs will be held in the stateof- the-art criminal justice facility on the main NTCC campus.

Flag Retirement Ceremony held at Daingerfield Junior High

Students at Daingerfield Junior High School were treated to a solemn moment on Wednesday, May 20, as they were witness to an official flag retirement ceremony. The ceremony was conducted by the American Legion. The American Flag has certain rules that govern everything from how it is handled, to when and in what conditions it can fly.

Local Christian school sends dolls to Nepal

When tragedy strikes, small town communities are wonderful at pitching in and lending a helping hand. A local Christian school is sending a helping hand halfway around the world.
