CANDIDATE: 'I'm turning the other cheek'

Several of Sartain's campaign signs vandalized in Morris County

Scott Sartain, a Republican candidate running for Morris County Clerk is not disheartened after he became aware of several of his campaign signs being vandalized. 
"It is common for this to happen," Sartain said, "when I ran for sheriff in 2004, I know many of my signs went missing."
 
Two of the signs suffering the most damage were located on South Willis street and on the corner of Nicholas and Hughes streets in Daingerfield.
 
Another campaign sign in Lone Star was also damaged.

Diangerfield High School Marching Band places in invitational

The Daingerfield High School Band competed at the 12th Annual North East Texas Invitational Marching Competition in Mt. Pleasant Oct. 11.  The band received the highest rating given.  A 1st Division in Marching.  The bands were also ranked in the order of best performance as well and the Daingerfield HIgh School band came in 17th place out of 30 high school bands.  The bands ranged from AA to AAAA.  Band Director Spike Buie said he is very proud of the bands 1st division rating and the placement among all the other bands.
