Events for Steel Country Festival kick off today

Daingerfield’s 27th Annual Steel Country Festival kicks off today with a community stew, style show and cake auction that will be held at the Methodist Church Activity Center from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Proceeds from the cake auction will go toward college scholarships for two young ladies preparing for their futures, who will be chosen by a panel of judges; awarded by the Business and Professional Women’s Club of Daingerfield. Then Friday, Oct. 3rd, don’t miss the Friday night street dance that will begin at 8 p.m. in front of Texas Heritage National Bank featuring the band Blended Country.
